My point of departure In this series are Chinese symbols which represent ancient Chinese wisdoms/virtues. Inspired by the fascinating, aesthetic forms of Chinese characters, but also by the importance which they articulate, I create images in which the Chinese characters have been integrated.

A serie after a performance of Zwaan de Vries in which she showed pure human emotion in a perfect way. I tried to catch and show those emotions in my paintings by means of used technic, lines, mix of materials.

After discovery of fossils here in the neighbourhood I was fascinated by the idea that after millions of years those petrified creatures – after have been captured in stone for all those years, are still there. Looking at human beings a comparison it is easily made – one often is being stuck, captured by the human, economic surroundings, while it hardly never happens that one can really free him/herself.

I discovered that you can use gemstones, silver and other beads - just like making a painting - to create very interesting compositions you can wear. Whereby the color and composition is of importance, with a great variety. Prices are including costs for sending.
